What an amazing event! (Click here to see the Event Details.)

Even though there was a slight San Diego mist/rain, that didn’t stop all of you from coming out to serve San Diego’s downtown homeless. In case it rained harder downtown, we set up an awning to prepare the food. Today we served a hot meal which included spaghetti, salad, roll, water and cookies. The smell of the spaghetti lingered and the homeless began lining up to get some.

We had so many great conversations with each other, and several of our San Diego’s homeless friends, just while cutting their hair and preparing the meals. After the meals were prepared, we all grabbed the care packages that we hadn’t already passed out and walked the streets of San Diego to feed the homeless who didn’t meet up with us on the sidewalk.

At this special homeless event, we had:

• 16 Haircuts for the Homeless
• Over 120 Hot Meals Served
• 30+ Volunteers

Special thanks to Tammy, Laura for the hair cutting. Not only did they cut hair but they served donuts and cookies too. Thanks to Maria for sweeping up all the hair.
