The Streets of Hope San Diego gives a special thanks to students from University of California, San Diego and members of Alpha Phi Omega, Rho Pi Chapter for taking from their valuable study time to travel downtown San Diego this Monday night to feed and cloth the homeless.
“…we all gather through our sense of community and our willingness to give back and help those in need.”
We asked Brian Nguyen to tell us a little bit about why the came out in the colder than average San Diego weather to help out the Streets of Hope. Brian wrote:
“We are students from University of California, San Diego and members of Alpha Phi Omega, Rho Pi Chapter (national co-ed service fraternity) who aspire to give back to our local community. Coming from various backgrounds, we all gather through our sense of community and our willingness to give back and help those in need. Streets of Hope provides us with the opportunity to develop this sense of community every Monday in the wonderful city of San Diego. By being able to gather with the community and help those going through difficult times, we come closer to being able to call this place our home.
Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to come out and aid those we can! We all had a fantastic time. With gratitude.”
Thanks Brian and all the Alpha Phi Omega members. We had a great time with you and appreciate all the energy and zeal and compassion you bring!
