2021 Homeless Haircutting Event with SDSU Helping the Homeless and Korean UMC

The Streets of Hope – San Diego is excited to announce our first special event since the Covid-19 Pandemic in partnership with SDSU Helping the Homeless and Korean United Methodist Church

Monday 5/17 Special Event – 1st since the Covid-19 Pandemic

We are super encouraged to serve the homeless in this special event with San Diego State’s Helping the Homeless and the Korean United Methodist Church.  Together, we have collected over 40 tents and 100 sleeping bags.  In addition, our amazing hair cutting team, along with The Country Club Barber Shop, will be cutting our homeless friends hair.  There is no need to contact us if you want come, simply come (unless your group is over 5 people, then please contact us.)

Starting Time: 4:30pm – 8pm

For this special homeless San Diego event we are expecting to serve well over 200 homeless people and need all the help we can get,

Across the Street from the downtown Smart and Final
720 15th Street, San Diego, CA 92101

It’s on the corner at 15th Street and Market.

For this event we need your help with providing the following:

  • Serving Food
  • Talking with the homeless
  • Assisting the hair cutting team
  • Passing out sleeping bags
  • Passing out tents

We also need volunteers for:

  • Hair cutting for the homeless (contact us if you are a stylist)
  • Prepping and serving food
  • Sorting out and handing out donations
  • Set up and clean up
  • Background assisting
