Streets of Hope San Diego Celebrates Christmas with Homeless Neighbors

Christmas came early this year!

This Monday night, Streets of Hope had the privilege of serving over 250 Hot meals and blankets to San Diego’s homeless neighbors.

Thanks to the Flood Church, many also received Christmas gifts of warm sox, water bottles, extra blankets, and protein bars, all wrapped in red and green tissue paper and tied with a bow.

Volunteers lined the buffet tables, distributing rolls, hot slices of ham, pastas, and pie. Among the recipients were other volunteers who rolled out wagons of boxed up food to other areas in need.

As the night ended, we tallied the impact. In addition to 200 hot meals and warm blankets, we were also able to provide 22 haircuts, 10 sleeping bags, and 8 tents to our homeless friends.
