New Sneakers for Downtown San Diego Homeless Woman – Meet Lisa

New Sneakers for Downtown San Diego Homeless Woman – Meet Lisa

Plunging into the low 50’s tonight in San Diego, it was a cold evening serving the homeless downtown.

It was great to see her smile after she put on those shoes.

Tonight Conrad cooked a hundred hot dogs! And we quickly began to put our food care package bags together. (See the photo below.)

Before we began to go out into the night to pass out the bags, we met Lisa. She asked us if had any shoes, size 7.5. (She was only wearing flip-flops with socks.) One of us did! In the trunk of his car, Dan had a pair of women’s sneakers’s from the last special even. After he gave her the sneakers, we snapped a quick picture and she immediately sat down on the curb and tried them on. They fit!

She was so grateful.

Shoes and sneakers are one of the top requested items from San Diego’s’ downtown homeless.
