The Streets of Hope San Diego thanks Lighthouse Church for feeding San Diego’s homeless this Monday night.
“…went to give and ended up receiving a full heart. “
Lighthouse Church brought blankets, shirts, hoodies and more when they came. We asked Christina from Lighthouse to tell us about their church, how they found the Streets of Hope and what their experience was like this past Monday. Here’s what she said:
“My husband and I are in charge of our middle school group at Lighthouse Church in Eastlake. I have been wanting to find an organization for our students to help volunteer and due to Covid it has been hard to find any, until I came across Streets of Hope San Diego. My husband and I were watching the news and saw that Streets of Hope took kids and their families to a Padres game.
So I immediately got in touch with someone and was encouraged to come help pass out food on a Monday night. My husband and I were so touched by the love and support your volunteers give. Not only giving food, clothes, and blankets but prayer, encouragement, and hope. I went to give and ended up receiving a full heart. I told everyone at our church and we were able to collect some blankets, socks, and jackets for this past Monday. Love everything you guys do, and Lighthouse church will continue to pray and support your ministry.”
Thanks Christina and the Lighthouse Church team for serving the homeless with us.
