Please join Streets of Hope San Diego in giving a hearty thank you to the Junior Enlisted Association of USS STERETT for joining us in serving San Diego’s homeless on Monday night.
Everyone was so caring and honest with the gestures they were giving, it was truthfully one of the most rewarding evening’s we’ve experienced.
At Streets of Hope San Diego, we are always so grateful for the teams that join us from our community, and this was no exception. Working with the Junior Enlisted Association of USS STERETT left a great impression on us, and we’re already looking forward to next time. Here’s what the Junior Enlisted Association of USS STERETT had to share about their experience serving San Diego’s homeless community with us:
“The Junior Enlisted Association of USS STERETT would love to thank the Streets of Hope San Diego for welcoming us sailors with open arms volunteering and helping out with needed. We were so honored to assist with unloading trucks, packing dinners and walking the streets to meet individuals and inviting them to the services you guys provide. Everyone was so caring and honest with the gestures they were giving, it was truthfully one of the most rewarding evening’s we’ve experienced. Thanks so much Streets of Hope! It was an honor collaborating with you. We can’t wait to meet with you guys again. Thanks for having us! -LaDazia Conley (JEA President)”
We’re eagerly anticipating our next evening on the streets together, Junior Enlisted Association of USS STERETT, and are hopeful that it’s sooner rather than later! Thank you again for helping serve San Diego’s homeless community downtown with us. It’s an inspiration to see our younger generation out making a difference in our community!
