Thanks to all who came to help Milton grieve the passing of his mom, Bobbie Phillips. (See the original event details here.)
It was an emotional night. The homeless memorial service started off with some worship music and then a brief message about how knowing God here on earth means spending eternity with him in heaven.
Then Milton spoke about mother, Bobbie’s, life. A few times he spoke with tears and emotion. I loved it when Milton was so choked up a few times, how all of us cheered him on, got up from our seats to hug him and tell him it’s going to be ok.
Over 50 people attended the memorial and many of downtown San Diego’s homeless were fed a warm mean after.
Thank you Milton for being a part of this ministry and for giving your heart to us and others.
